Contacting of Solar Cells
All our measurement systems are prepared for Kelvin four point wiring for the measurement electronics. This means that we use separate wirepairs for voltage measurement and for current conduction. Therefore, voltage drops along the cables will not cause a bias error in the final measurement.
Contacts are made of double needles, mounted on a Holding Lever, which can be equipped with micropositioners for easy alignment of contact and cell contact pad.
Another Option is a 'bridge' with spring loaded, Gold coated contacts along the Bridge. These contact bridges also have a separate voltage contact for precise voltage measurements. They can easily be adapted for automated contacting cells.
For thin film and organic solar cells, we incorporate top/bottom, bottom/bottom and top/top contacts into our measurement chucks.
